Intellectual Property Management
Intellectual property (IP) can be a key to improved shareholder value and can be a source of competitive advantage. Nevertheless, to achieve these goals IP must be properly exploited or managed. TIG helps clients here in several ways:
  • Feasibility experimentation or prototyping is conducted to improve the sanctioned position of a patent and extend its coverage range.
  • Inventions are reduced to practice in commercial environments, demonstrating the usefulness of the invention to the satisfaction of the US Patent Office and prospective customers.
  • Unused inventions are commercialized utilizing TIG's extensive knowledge and contacts within manufacturing industries (see Market Intelligence) and municipal service suppliers (water, wastewater treatment, municipal incineration and power generation).
  • TIG can gain additional revenue for a technology owner by performing as an agent in licensing the IP (patent or know-how) outside the owner's industry.
